Ewan Crawford:

Ewan Crawford

Ewan is the programme leader of the graduate diploma in broadcast journalism. He trained as a newspaper journalist at the East Anglian Daily Times before joining BBC Radio Suffolk and then BBC Radio Scotland, where he produced a variety of news and current affairs programmes including Eye to Eye, Newsweek and Good Morning Scotland.

Between 2001 and 2004 he was chief of staff to the then leader of the SNP, John Swinney, and now combines working at the university with  freelance journalism and commentary, mainly for the BBC and The Guardian.

Ronnie Bergman: Ronnie is an experienced broadcast professional and trainer. Formerly deputy production controller at Radio Clyde, he was also a senior producer at the station, producing a range of programmes ranging from sport to music.  He was a radio trainer at CSV Media and has taught broadcast journalism for many years. He has held several roles at the BJTC, including company director and academic council member.  

Russell Walker (part-time):

Russell is an award-winning television and radio producer and director (Sony – Gold and Bronze; New York Radio Festival – Gold and Silver). A former head of news and sport at Radio Clyde, he also worked for Granada Television before running an independent production company producing programmes for the BBC, ITV, C4 and 5.  

 Larry Sullivan (part-time): Voice coach: 

Larry is an experienced broadcaster, teacher and lecturer who began her career in Scotland lecturing at The RSAMD  She has worked as a presenter for BBC Network TV and at Channel 4, where she was a breakfast news presenter. She has written and presented  BBC Radio 4’s  flagship Arts programme, Kaleidoscope, and worked  in the newsroom at Radio Clyde. She has received several awards for her documentaries both as producer and presenter.
